On January 4, 2020, Shanghai Electric's 8MW offshore wind turbine, which was undertaken by Gulf Lifting, was officially lifted at Shantou Smart Energy Demonstration Base.
This is the first 8MW offshore wind turbine that has been hoisted in China, marking that the record for the highest power offshore wind turbine that has been hoisted in China has risen to 8MW. This is the Gulf Hoisting. After the completion of the Jieyang Mingyang 7MW wind turbine in 2019, it once again set a new record for high-power wind power construction.
The 8MW offshore wind turbine has a diameter of 167 meters, a blade length of 81.4 meters, a warehouse weight of 258 tons, and a lifting height of 117 meters. During the on-site installation of the 8MW wind turbine, it faced huge challenges of both lifting weight and height. It encountered severe weather such as strong winds, heavy rain, and the external influence of tropical cyclones.
This time the main crane equipment is XCMG XGC28000 2000t crawler crane, 260t crawler crane, 75t crawler crane, 70t truck crane auxiliary lifting. At the Shanghai Bauma Exhibition on November 23, 2010, XCMG's XGC28000 crawler crane was officially unveiled. After the product was launched, it raised the domestic crawler crane to the 2,000-ton level, breaking many records in the domestic industry, and was hailed as the "Shenzhou First Hang.
